The Focus on Vets program is presently located in Quinte West Ontario, Canada.
The only requirement(s) are that you are a veteran of, (or serving member), of the Canadian Forces, and have an interest in photography.
Government operation?
No, this is not a government operation, nor is this program connected to the government in any way.
I am a volunteer that is offering this service.
There is no cost to the Veteran to join this program.

Closed group, no pressures
The Focus on Vets program is designed to be a comfortable environment where there are no ranks, or rank structure.
Vets from the various services can come together in a no pressure group and learn at their own pace.
This closed group extends to Social Media. Vets can feel free to post images and seek input from only those in the program.
How it all started
The Focus on Vets program began as an idea of Brad Denoon in 2014.
Presently housed by the MFRC (Military Family Resource Centre).
Though not funded, my mission is to ensure that Vets have access to creative avenues of expression.
The rest, they say, is history.

Quick answers
What is the purpose of FOV?
FOV is all about getting you more comfortable with using your camera, and getting off the automatic, or "point and shoot" mode.
What does it cost?
To Veterans, this is a free service.
The program is run as a volunteer service, no money changes hands.
What do I need?
You will need a camera, (of course), a tripod, (if you have one), a flash, (if you have one), and an interest in photography.
If you do not have all the equipment, that is fine as well, your camera will suffice.
Now, that being said, not all cameras are the same, as such, you camera may not have all teh capabilities that others do.
We will work around these differences.
